Hi, I’m Jenny
I help people return to themselves — to their breath, their body, and their inner truth — through somatic healing, breath-led practice, nervous system regulation, and gentle inner parts work.
My path into this work began long before I ever called it healing. It began in my body: in the places where tension lived, where breath was shallow, where emotions went untouched, and where survival patterns quietly shaped my day to day.
Over thirteen years of somatic practice, breathwork training, trauma-aware facilitation, and my own deep emotional unravelling, I came to understand something simple and profound: the body holds experience long after the mind thinks it has moved on — and so much can shift when the system finally feels safe enough to soften.
My approach is gentle, but deep. I don’t push people toward breakthroughs. I support the nervous system to slow down, unwind, and reorganise at its own pace — so change can emerge without force.
I’m a trained Rebirthing and Holotropic Breathwork facilitator and space-holder, with experience guiding both one-to-one and group sessions.
My work is informed by conscious connected and rebirthing breathwork, somatic awareness, nervous system regulation, trauma-aware facilitation, and integration-focused principles. Alongside formal training, it’s shaped by ongoing personal practice, supervision, and lived experience supporting people through emotional, physical, and psychological processes with care and discernment.
Training matters — but it’s only useful if it translates into safety, pacing, and ethical care.
The thread running through my work is nervous-system attunement. I support clients to move at a pace that prioritises regulation and integration, adapting the depth and structure of sessions to what each system is ready for.
I place strong emphasis on:
Preparation (especially for deeper breathwork or non-ordinary states)
Consent and choice as central, not incidental
Resourcing and stabilisation before intensity
Integration — supporting insights and emotional material to become embodied over time
Rather than working from a single modality, I draw from a range of approaches in response to each person and each moment — always in service of safety, agency, and a grounded relationship with the body.
My Approach
I created Somaaya because healing isn’t only psychological or spiritual.
It’s embodied.
It lives in the breath.
In the nervous system.
In the living body that has carried everything we’ve survived.
Somaaya is a space for the healing of the felt self — the part of us that knows through sensation, emotion, and breath, not just through insight.
This work isn’t about peak experiences.
I’m interested in what happens after: how life is lived, how the body holds (or releases) change, and how new patterns become sustainable. Breathwork and somatic healing can open powerful experiences, but meaningful transformation comes through preparation, context, integration, and nervous-system readiness.
Healing here is not assumed, promised, or performed. Learning is. Capacity is. A more trusting relationship with your body is. And from that foundation, change becomes possible.
A note on breath (and why it matters to me)
As a teenager, I had panic attacks where I felt unable to breathe. I learned early that the instruction to “take a deep breath” wasn’t soothing for me — it felt forced, even overwhelming. My body didn’t yet know how to receive the breath.
Years later, on a retreat at Dhanakosa in Scotland, something crystallised in a simple mindfulness-of-breathing practice: I realised I didn’t actually know how to breathe in a way that felt safe or natural. I had to learn again, from the beginning.
That moment began a longer inquiry — toward more ease, more peace, and a different way of being in my body. Over time, that inquiry shaped the way I hold space now: not leading from the front, but listening, tracking, and responding to what is present — with the breath as a bridge back into relationship with oneself.
